Welcome to Millpond
Millpond is no stranger to mysteries. Over the years, this sleepy town, not far from the great states of Maine and Massachusetts, has been the host of a number of macabre incidents, unexplainable phenomena, and some downright wacky folk.
Starting as a farming settlement around 1650, the town grew and grew, flourishing with industry by the turn of the 20th century. Tourists would visit from far and wide to soak in the varied nature on all sides. Its history is rich and vibrant… but also bloody and mysterious.
Below is an archive of the twisted tales that have been passed from generation to generation of Millpondians, now preserved in the written form.
So get yourself some marshmallows, a hot cup of coco, and maybe a silver bullet or two, and embrace the terror of those that walked through Millpond.

In The Trees - 1933
Here be a Millpond story set in 1933 about the Hawkins Lumber Mill.
There ain’t much left of the place now, o’ course, and maybe that’s some kind of blessing. It sits, burned and forgotten, to the north of Millpond, across the railroad tracks, past the junkyard, on the very edge of Welden Woods, where the trees crowd close in a dark hush.

Hunchback Horseman - 1859
Here be a Millpond story set in 1858 about the Hunchback Horseman terrorising the streets and cemetery of Millpond.
A wild ride of a tale this one. This story dates us back to them olden days of Millpond, 1858, if I ain’t mistaken.

Fat Jack - 1954
Here be a Millpond story set in 1954 about Fat Jack eating hamburgers at the Pumpkin Pie Diner.
Jack Campbell was well known around town back then. Folks called him Fat Jack, on account of how skinny he was. One of those ironic nicknames, you know?

Edward ‘Teddy’ Stooles - 1887
Here be a Millpond story set in 1887 about the infamous Eddy ‘Teddy’ Stooles, an entertainer that met a tragic end.
Edward 'Teddy' Stooles, now there's a character for you. A curious soul, he was. Back then, folks had many names for him. Some saw him as the town fool, while others whispered of thievery in his wake.
